On Washington Street (between Madison and McKinley), the contractor has completed installing the new sanitary sewer, sanitary services, and water services. Due to the winter weather and the fact that asphalt plants were closing for the winter, the City decided to delay installation of the new storm sewer until Spring 2017. This allowed the City to winterize the street by installing a temporary asphalt patch on Washington Street, thereby keeping the street safe, clean, and plowable through the winter.
Additionally, over the past few weeks the contractor has been finishing all the miscellaneous concrete installation (sidewalk, curb, apron, etc.) along Bryan, Adams, and Washington adjacent to the school. The contractor also completed all asphalt patching in these areas and backfilled the parkways with topsoil. Final restoration will take place in the spring.
