Crescent/Cambridge Stormwater Improvement Project Update - 9/29/16

Posted on September 29, 2016 at 11:46 AM by Barbara Petrucci

Last week construction activities began.  Installation of construction fence, survey layout, tree trimming/removal, and delivery of construction equipment all have been completed.  The tree removal was necessary to accommodate the detention basin installation.

This week the contractor has been stripping the topsoil at the detention basin location, delivering concrete storm sewer pipe, and has begun excavation for the jacking pit on the south side of the railroad tracks.

Next week the contractor will make the storm sewer connection in York Street and begin placing storm sewer piping along the south side of the detention basin (just north of the York Commons parking lot).  If weather permits the contractor will also begin the excavation of the detention basin.
